Distance LearningThe College of Engineering and Applied Science is dedicated to bringing quality instruction to students wherever they might be. In the Distance Education program, instruction in required courses is made available through the internet, PowerPoint, videos, and text. Courses for the Distance Program are offered during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. To apply for the Master of Engineering - Engineering Management, Master of Engineering - Space Operations, or the Master of Engineering - Systems Engineering degree programs please go to Graduate Application Process for application information. To take distance education courses as an unclassified non-degree seeking student, the Registration link below will direct you to the Application for Extended Studies. Below is information on the upcoming semester, registration for non-degree seeking students, and withdrawal information. Students can order textbooks from the UCCS Bookstore or by phone at (800) 990-8227, ext 3249. Upcoming Semester Information Semester: Fall 2008 Registration for Non-degree Seeking Students Requesting your UCCS transcript Warning Please see the program information about curriculum issues, required courses, electives, etc. We would like for you to take UCCS courses as an independent student, but we do not want you to get into a situation where you have taken courses you cannot use for your chosen program of study. Further, we recommend you apply for the Masters program as soon as possible. UCCS allows the transfer of up to 9 hours of appropriate credit from outside the UCCS program, at the time of program admission. If you have taken courses elsewhere that fit into the UCCS program, and they were not used in another degree, then you may be able to use them without much difficulty. However, any appropriate UCCS courses you take prior to admission to the Masters program count against that limit. In very rare cases, more than 9 hours is allowed, but only by petition and there is no guarantee of success.
